The Birth of the Project
“I had a client that wanted to make their space more functional for entertainment, but they weren’t sure where to start. They loved entertaining friends and family, and that often meant making lots of food. The trouble they had was bringing that food from the kitchen out to the patio area. They had to walk through their dining room and then make their way out to the patio. It was less than ideal. I needed to come up with a solution for them.” – Lisa Thompson, designer
Customers want to have something different and unique. They wanted to have a door that was able to separate their kitchen from other rooms, such as a sunroom. Yet, they still wanted to be able to pass food between the locations easily.
“If I’m being honest, I didn’t know much about garage doors at all, and even less about the concept of panoramic garage door. I decided to get some help from people who knew better – the professionals at Hicklin Door Services. When I came to meet with them, I quickly discovered that they were knowledgeable and passionate about their job. They were able to take my ideas and my clients needs and explain to me how I could do exactly what they wanted. I was impressed and it allowed me to take my needs and make them a reality.”
When you choose a garage door, there’s not a standard size. Garage doors can differ greatly. Typically the size of a single garage door is 9’x7’and a double garage door is 16’x7’, and these are considered standards. However, garage doors can be custom-made to ensure they meet your specifications.
Garaga offers residential doors that are created based on the size you need. They can befrom 4 to 20 feet wide to the nearest inch, and from 6 to 12 feet high. The height is measured in 1” or 3” increments.
The Technical Aspect
