We have contacted Hicklin Garage Doors several times since we moved into our home. From start to finish their work has been exceptional. Kind, professional and efficient are the words that come to mind. About a month ago we had to have a spring replaced and River did a thorough inspection of both our garage doors and explained how to troubleshoot the sensors on each door. He answered all my questions and then explained the pricing for the work he did and provided discounts where possible. Then, this week I called Hicklin again for a problem with my remote. I was trying to get a new vehicle synced and messed it up so he asked if he could take a look at it he got both of my doors operating from my new vehicle. Hicklin may be a small company but they fully understand what “World Class” Customer Service is all about. When River appeared for my service, I knew I was going to be a happy camper in short order. Called them late on Friday to look at my garage door not opening and they got someone here first thing Monday morning. Our technician Blaine found the issue right away with the springs. He got it replaced and garage door was working within 45 minutes. Great customer service. Highly recommend!

I had a very positive experience to start. I filled out an online request on Sunday to schedule a visit for Monday, and the response was quick and impressive. The technician (River) called before 7:30AM and arrived by 8AM. The entire process—from the initial visit to selecting, paying for, and scheduling the new garage door—was smooth and efficient. Unfortunately, the installation side didn’t match that experience. Friday was supposed to be install day, but I never received a call. After waiting into the morning, I reached out myself and ended up speaking with the operations manager, who said he had “dropped the ball” on scheduling and that it would need to be pushed to another day. It wasn’t ideal especially since it was going into a weekend and required adjusting my work schedule again. There wasn’t much communication beyond that. The installation itself went smoothly once completed. The only concern was a larger gap than expected after the door was installed. I understand they install to ensure everything is square, and with an older garage some adjustments are sometimes necessary. I likely should have asked for a walkthrough before the crew left. I followed up afterward, and River came out of his way to take a look. He was prompt, professional, and took the time to walk through everything with me and address my concerns. His communication and pride in his work really stood out—he’s clearly someone who cares about doing things the right way and represents the company very well. Overall, a strong experience upfront and quality installation work, with some room for improvement in communication and scheduling. I would recommend.

BEST experience I've had with a garage door service. We had River come out and help us recalibrate / realign our garage door sensors and he showed us an extra few tips. He was down to earth and very knowledgable. I originally had a $500 estimate from Precision (rip-off, tried to sell me more than what I needed, showed up outside of allowed timeframe, and then heavily pushed for an immediate sale/decision). I was able to get exactly what I needed done with Hicklin and at a reasonable price, too. No bs, very straightforward, and kind. They have another longtime customer here. :)

Our garage door opener stopped working unexpectedly last night, and I was so impressed with how quickly everything was handled. I submitted a request around 8 PM, and Hicklin called me within minutes to schedule an appointment. They were out the very next day and had everything replaced in no time.
